Francene Woods had a dream of creating a business to compliment her husband’s kitchen and furniture enterprise by offering eclectic and unusual items for the home and garden. Her wish was to create a store that would provide her customers with a means to accessorise their homes with good quality products that they may not have come across in the mainstream shops.
When Francene began to realise her dream by starting her own company Four woods country hearts she immediately started to look for a web designer who could create a website to form the backbone of her on-line presence and function as an attractive outlet for her products.
Francene contacted me after seeing a website that I had designed previously. We discussed her requirements for the new website design via email and after working through the structure, content and quite a few artwork revisions I built a website that balances a mix of the English country garden and French shabby chic styles that Francene loves. It comes complete with a simple Paypal shopping cart system, news blog and contact form. There are featured links to the Four Woods Country Hearts Twitter and Facebook pages allowing customers to keep up to date with the latest news on the website.
Another feature of the website is the easy to use CMS (Content Management System) which allows Francene to update the website herself whenever she chooses. Finally I provided some basic Photoshop lessons and as a result most of the great photography on the site is now home baked too. I think she is doing a great job…
