The Bugle is an English language newspaper distributed throughout the Haute Vienne and Creuse regions of France. They wanted to redesign their company stationery to be distinctive and unique but still to incorporate the established brand of the newspaper. They were also keen to introduce a less formal style to the business cards and compliment slips.
By lightheartedly playing on British/French stereotypes, I came up with an illustrated delivery boy character inspired by the “onion seller” cliche which was used on elements of the stationery that were not to be taken TOO seriously.
